At PMC Soil Solutions we consider soil to be a valuable resource and just like any other resource, how you manage it can either make or break a project.

Soil quality and quantity, excavation methodology and movement on and off site all needs to be considered, planned and executed in accordance with the relevant regulations and in a way that helps your project to run smoothly and cost efficiently.

At PMC Soil Solutions, our consultants are highly experienced so whatever the soil may contain, our team knows how to accurately investigate, sample, identify, quantify, assess and manage all aspects of the problem without incurring inapplicable landfill taxes or excessive disposal charges. Whether it’s heavy metals, hydrocarbons, Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) or Japanese Knotweed, we’ve got the soil solution for you.

As well as our contaminated land services, our set of complementary services can help you manage and remove any surplus soil. Whether it’s finding a safe, compliant way to reuse the soil on site or organising for it to be treated or removed and reused elsewhere, we have the knowledge and the contacts to make it happen.

PMC Soil Solutions hold a current Mobile Treatment License for the treatment of contaminated soils on development sites. We will look at all the available options, recommend the most suitable way to treat your soil if needed and make sure it can be safely and sustainably reused, either on or off-site, fulfilling Waste Hierarchy obligations.

If disposal of the soil is the only appropriate option, then our logistics capabilities and contact network of receiving facilities allow us to offer our clients very competitive rates.

Our Approach

PMC Soil Solutions can carry out intrusive waste characterisation investigations and contaminated land investigations by obtaining relevant, representative soil samples and accurately testing them to provide a detailed assessment of the waste soils that will be generated and identify any soils suitable to be retained and reused.

If needed, we can also undertake gap analyses on third party chemical data or offer more detailed analysis of the chemical composition of waste soil in order to refine projected waste soil costs.

Whatever testing or assessment we carry out, we’ll always provide you with a complete, concise, comprehensive report explaining the significance of our findings to you and your project and offer practical, compliant, commercially economic solutions.

Waste Management

PMC Soil Solutions are conversant in the CL:AiRE (Contaminated Land: Applications in the Real Environment) Code of Practice. Our clients have benefitted from the economic savings of eliminating waste disposal costs, reduced haulage costs and environmental advantages of sustainably reusing what would have otherwise been waste soil.

Duty of Care

From carriers licenses, to receiving facility licenses to waste transfer notes and receiving facility receipts, we supply fully compliant Duty of Care documents for each and every load of waste soil we remove.

Our clients always know where we have taken their waste soil and are always provided with the evidential documents, as required by law.

We have developed with Podfather® a bespoke electronic waste transfer note which uniquely has the full cycle of information from the holding site, the producer, the carrier and the end destination on one ticket in real time linked to the accounts system to streamline the whole process.
